Sit Ski Nationals Race at Crosscut

On January 1-2, 2022, Crosscut Mountain Sports Center will host U.S. Paralympics Nordic Skiing Sit Ski Nationals, which will serve as a qualifying race for the 2022 Paralympic Olympics in Beijing.

Approximately twenty paranordic athletes from around the country will gather in Montana for this event. Paralympic medalists including Oksana Masters, Kendall Gretsch, and Dan Cnossen will be racing on January 1-2.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged. Parking for the event will be in our newly constructed Lot D near the new Biathlon Stadium (Google Maps Location).

There will be trail closures to accommodate the race. See the trail closure map for more info.

January 1: Cross-Country Sprint

12PM Race Starts
30 second interval start
Start and finish in the biathlon arena

This race will be fast, furious, and fun. Bundle up, mask up, and break out your cowbells to cheer on the racers!

 

 

January 2: Cross-Country 5km (classic)

10AM Race Starts
30 second interval start
4 x 1.25km laps
Start and finish in the biathlon arena

 
Some of the best athletes in the world will be represented at the event, and it’s definitely worth the drive to Crosscut to cheer on these amazing athletes.
