Crosscut’s Nature Camps for Kids

Supportive opportunities to learn, grow, and play outdoors

Beginning in 2025, Crosscut’s Nature Camps will be offered through Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS)

The same great Nature Camps that families have grown to love will continue to be available and held at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center. See our FAQ on the Crosscut–MOSS collaboration for more information.

Crosscut’s Nature Camp program began in 2021 with place-based experiential camps that inspire curiosity, confidence, and gratitude while encouraging a reciprocal relationship with the natural world.

We are so grateful for the trust families have placed in us to help their children form strong connection to the natural world. We look forward to continuing to foster those connections through both Nature Camps and the wider MOSS camp offerings.

2025 summer camp registration will open Tuesday, February 18th at noon on the MOSS website.

For three decades, Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS) has ignited curiosity and a deep appreciation for the natural world through its exceptional programs. Through high-quality educational experiences, including a vibrant summer camp program, MOSS plays a vital role in connecting our community to the wonders of the natural world.

In 2025, Crosscut Mountain Sports Center will proudly become the permanent home of MOSS, uniting two missions dedicated to place-based outdoor education. This integrated collaboration marks a significant milestone in MOSS's vision of securing a permanent base — a dream that began with their first collaboration at Bohart Ranch in 2003. Crosscut is thrilled to welcome MOSS to a home that will further amplify their impact for generations to come.
