Outdoor Education at Crosscut

Exploring the world around us

Our numerous place-based outdoor education offerings give kids and adults the chance to connect with nature. The Bridger Range is our home and we can’t wait to explore it with you.

Ski Education Program for Schools & Homeschoolers

Crosscut offers quality ski education programs to K-12 aged youth from around Montana. These programs are designed to introduce students and remote learners to Nordic skiing, and spark a lifetime of awareness and appreciation for outdoor landscapes.  Whether you’re an educator, a student in school, remote or homeschool learning environment we have something for you!

Nature Camps for Kids

Crosscut’s experiential nature camps inspire curiosity, confidence, and gratitude while encouraging a reciprocal relationship with our natural world. Using a place-based approach that encourages a sense of wonder, our nature camps blend science and art, play and education, and community and solitude. Join us for a safe, fun, and welcoming summer outside exploring the place we call home.

Naturalist on Skis for Adults

Come explore the untraveled forests at Crosscut and deepen your connection to place through our guided Naturalist on Skis sessions this winter! These sessions aim to connect our community with nature as participants learn to navigate the winter woods as a naturalist, reading the landscape and identifying the life that makes these lands so special.
