Open Call for Local Artists to Create Mural Design

Help us create a beautiful, enduring mural that embodies Crosscut’s values

Crosscut Mountain Sports Center has announced a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the “Skier & Mountain Biker Bridge Mural Project”. CMSC is requesting qualifications from community artists to paint the tunnel walls of the skier and mountain biker bridge. The mural’s objective is to enliven and excite visitors to CMSC with public art that connects and inspires community and conveys that CMSC as a welcoming and inclusive place for all. Artwork cannot depict people, CMSC is asking for a mural that does not include faces of individuals and artwork cannot contain political symbols, insignias, or campaigns. The mural should resonate with Crosscut’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Submissions are due by 5 pm on July 6,  2022.

  • The Selection Committee will review qualifications and notify 2-3 finalists by July 15, 2022

  • Finalists will then be announced and community voting will take place July 15 to 25, 2022

  • Upon completion of the public vote, a winner will be announced by July 31st, 2022
