Post-Season Visits Information

A perk for season pass holders

When conditions allow, Crosscut welcomes season pass holders for post-season skiing. Whether and when we can remain open for post-season skiing varies year-to-year and is dependent on weather and snow conditions.

April 18, 2024 Update

We have concluded grooming for the season. Season pass holders are welcome to continue to ski to your heart's content. Please always pick up after your dogs.

A big, huge, massive THANK YOU to Treeline Coffee Roasters for sponsoring the Grooming Report & Weather Conditions this season. We are a nonprofit and our revenue does not cover our operating expenses so we rely on the generosity of individual donors and supporting businesses to close the gap.

We have 15 miles of single-track summer trails that are free and open to the public once we open them for summer. If you visit in summer and you're able, we would greatly appreciate your support in the form of a voluntary summer trail pass. FYI because we have so many wetlands on our property our trails typically open a few weeks later than other area trails. Check back in on our website for more information.

April 1, 2024 Update

A beloved perk of being a season pass holder is the opportunity to ski after the end of the season when conditions allow. Please carefully review the information below and enjoy your time on the trails.

  • As of Monday, April 1, Crosscut Mountain Sports Center is closed for the season.

  • Season pass holders are welcome to continue to ski at their own risk. Buy a ‘24-25 season pass and ski, snowshoe, and fatbike for the rest of the current season + this post-season.

  • No hiking allowed. Visitors must be on skis, snowshoes, or fatbikes.

  • Snowshoers & fatbikers must use narrow gauge trails only.

  • Always scan your pass!

Post-season Operations Do Not Include Services or Regular Grooming

  • Please check our grooming report for updates on post-season grooming — updates will be posted when trails are groomed.

  • The Nordic Center building is closed, and no services are available. No incident response or emergency services are available. Please come prepared for a safe, self-supported outing.

  • Regular grooming operations are limited and occur when conditions are favorable and grooming staff is available.

  • We cannot make any guarantees as to trail conditions.

  • Please park in Lot A near the Nordic Center (Lot B will be closed for the season).

  • Always ski kind and keep making Crosscut a welcoming place for all.

Dog & Trail Info

  • Well behaved dogs are allowed on the trails any days and any times. Please always pick up after your fury friends.

  • Walking, hiking, and trail running is not permitted at this time. Olsen Creek, 2 miles to the south of CMSC, and South Fork of Brackett, Creek 2 mile to the north, offer opportunities for those interested in these activities.

  • During mud season trails are closed to hikers, dogs, and mountain bikers. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay up-to-date with the latest information about visiting Crosscut in the summer

Ski with Caution

  • As spring continues on, trail hazards that could damage ski equipment or cause injury may be present under the snow surface.

  • Conditions may change dramatically from day-to-day and week-to-week, please use your best judgement about when to visit.
