This Beginner to Biathlon Clinic introduces the challenging and fun sport of biathlon, which combines Nordic skiing with shooting marksmanship. The 2-3 hour clinic will cover the sport, the range it occurs on, as well as the rifles and targets. Basic rifle safety, rifle loading and operation, and the fundamentals of an accurate rifle shot (position, sight alignment, breathing, trigger control and follow through) are introduced and experienced.
No prior experience in marksmanship or Nordic skiing is needed to participate. Biathlon rifles and ammunition are provided. If snow conditions permit, bringing cross country skis (skate or classic) is strongly encouraged. Please contact reservations@crosscutmt.org if you would like to rent ski equipment for a clinic.
