Join us at the Bangtail Biathlon!

The Bangtail Biathlon is a debut biathlon event hosted by Crosscut Mountain Sports Center at our race ready range, and breathtaking trails in beautiful Bridger Canyon. The Bangtail Biathlon is a two day pursuit style event that will draw biathletes and skiers from the Bozeman community and throughout the Rocky Mountain West.

The weekend will include Sprint competition and novice races on Saturday, and a competition Pursuit race on Sunday. The Bangtail Biathlon is a way for Crosscut to share our passion for biathlon, facilitate a positive race environment, and introduce people to the sport for the first time. Whether you are racing for the win, or shooting a firearm for the very first time, we welcome all participants to join in on the fun!

Trail Closures

Crosscut will remain open to the public during the Bangtail Biathlon. There will be select trail closures on race courses starting Friday, February 2nd at 5pm until Sunday, February 4th at 2pm. Please consider stopping by during your ski to cheer on racers on course or at the range!
