Crosscut’s Biathlon Program
A club-based sport where skiing meets shooting
If you are familiar with Biathlon, you know the thrill and excitement of this challenging sport. If this is your first time hearing about it, picture a Nordic ski race where participants push hard through a hilly few kilometers, then stop mid-race at a shooting range, carefully steadying themselves, hearts pumping, as they take aim with a .22 rifle at target 50 meters away. Once you try Biathlon, the challenge and unpredictability will keep you coming back to try again, as you work to improve both your accuracy and your athleticism!
The Crosscut landscape has been home to Biathlon events for over four decades. Today, our 30 biathlon target and 12 para biathlon target course is the dedicated training grounds of the Crosscut Elite Teams. It is also a welcoming learning environment for first-timers and enthusiasts of all ages.
Crosscut’s Biathlon Program offers Youth, Masters Competitive, and Masters Recreational clubs with year-round practices.
Our Elite Team supports biathletes as they train and compete at the highest levels of Olympic and Paralympic sport.
Program Philosophy
We teach skills, practice techniques, and complement our shooting with ski practice. Our goal is to promote athletic achievement and a lifetime of healthy movement in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
Youth Biathlon Program
Our youth Biathlon clubs are for new and returning Biathletes. With U12, U14, and U16/U18 groups training year-round, we provide an encouraging and safe coaching environment for young athletes and aspiring competitors.
Masters Biathlon Program
Our Masters Programs offer skills practice, mentorship, training, and community for adult biathletes of all levels of experience.
Elite Team
Crosscut’s Elite Team supports athletes from multiple disciplines as they train and compete at the highest levels. This premiere program serves elite biathletes, cross country skiers, and para Nordic skiers aged 18 and above.
Biathlon Stadium
In 2021, we built a new state-of-the-art biathlon range. It includes 30 biathlon targets and 12 para biathlon targets, and is built to the highest safety standards. We offer access to our state-of-the-art biathlon range in limited instances
