Volunteer Opportunities at Crosscut

A commitment and dedication to service

Since our beginning, Crosscut has relied on the support and generosity of community members nearest and dearest to us. In the early years, volunteers filled the roles that we were later able to create permanent staff positions for. Today, we have two main groups of core volunteers — our Blue Coat Ambassadors and our Biathlon Volunteers.

The Blue Coat Ambassadors are committed volunteers who offer friendly greetings to guests on busy winter weekends. They help outfit and equip first time visitors with proper gear, suggest a route to roam the trails, and help ensuring all guests are having their best possible experience and adventure. The immense value delivered by this group is treasured by the entire Crosscut team and community.

The Biathlon Volunteers are committed members of biathlon community and many have been volunteering since the Bridger Biathlon Club (BBC) days before Crosscut was formed and BBC was absorbed into Crosscut. These folks have expertise specific to biathlon. We couldn’t run our affordable community clinics or our winter and summer community biathlon races without the many talented and dedicated folks who make up our Biathlon Volunteer group.

We rely on Event Volunteers to help us run all of the community and competition events we host, such as the Crosscut Classic, Bangtail Biathlon, and The Hoot. These events take dozens and dozens of volunteers to run smoothly. Reach out to our events staff at events@crosscutmt.org to find out more.

Thank you to all those who have volunteered in the past and those who volunteer today!
